Discrimination and Harassment
The Government of British Columbia policy on discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace identifies the rights and responsibilities of all employees. It encourages employers and employees to work together to avoid problems. It emphasizes the need for employers to respond quickly when problem arise.
The policy confirms that employees are entitled to a positive and productive work environment free from discrimination or harassment on any of ground in the British Columbia Human Rights Code. The Code forbids discrimination on any of the following grounds:

Race Family Status
Color Physical or Mental Disability
Ancestry Sex
Place of Origin Sexual Orientation
Political Belief Age
Religion Unrelated Criminal Conviction
Marital Status
